Hanson Logistics Adds Refrigerated Service to Consolidation Program

March 25, 2011

Hanson Logistics, a provider of temperature-controlled logistics, has expanded its Velocities Multi-Vendor Consolidation (MVC) program to include an exclusive refrigerated service. The new offering ensures that refrigerated items will not be co-mingled with frozen products in the same trailer. By sharing trailers set to hold temperatures between 34F and 38F, refrigerated food shippers are assured of the timely delivery of product while being shielded from freeze environments. Velocities MVC builds consolidated truckload shipments among multiple vendors, for collaborative distribution throughout the U.S. It draws on the resources of Hanson Transportation Management Services and its Chicago Consolidation Center in Hobart, Ind. Hanson operates eight facilities with a combined 37 million cubic feet of deep frozen, refrigerated and dry warehousing space.
