Xata Corp. to Resell ZoomSafer Fleet-Management Apps

Xata Corp., a vendor of software for trucking compliance and fleet optimization, is integrating and reselling two applications from ZoomSafer, FleetSafer Mobile and FleetSafer Vision. The first enforces a fleet's safe-driving policies and runs alongside Xata Turnpike on mobile and smartphones. Turnpike runs on consumer-grade and ruggedized mobile phones without driver interaction when the vehicle is in motion. FleetSafer Vision is a reporting tool which uses telematics data in conjunction with phone records and e-mail services to measure and report to fleet managers the information needed to identify at-risk drivers. The ZoomSafer tools reduce driver distraction, Xata said.
