Barcoding Inc. has forged a strategic alliance with Lucas Systems, Inc. to offer Jennifer VoicePlus voice-directed picking systems for the warehouse. The two companies will jointly sell and market the product, which runs on open, industry-standard mobile computers rather than single-purpose, voice-only hardware. Jennifer VoicePlus is optimized for standard mobile computers. For warehouse managers, it includes a suite of process reporting, productivity and other management tools, dubbed the Engage Management Services Console, which complements existing warehouse-management, labor-management and other back-end systems. Barcoding, Inc. is a national systems integrator, specializing in supply-chain and mobility systems based on automated data capture and wireless technology. Lucas Systems offers voice-directed warehouse applications to a wide variety of companies and industries.
