The rapidly changing global market has brought about additional social compliance regulations that apparel and footwear retailers now have to follow.  While always concerned with the quality of goods they design, develop and ship into the United States, retailers and manufacturers have the additional burden of Federal, and now State-level, codes of conduct that protect the basic human rights of the workforce engaged in each step of the product lifecycle to avoid costly law suits and consumer outrage.
