PeopleNet Adds ALK Technologies as Partner for In-Cab Navigation

ALK is a provider of GeoLogistics and navigation software aimed at transportation, logistics, mobile workers and consumers. Its CoPilot truck product helps drivers to calculate the most efficient and cost-effective routes, based on vehicle profile information, road restrictions and load type. In-Cab Navigation provides an intuitive interface with spoken turn-by-turn directions and accompanying guidance displays. PeopleNet said it will be the first onboard computing provider to launch the latest release, Version 9, of CoPilot Truck. PeopleNet claims nearly 1,500 customers in the truckload, less-than-truckload, private and service fleet sectors in the U.S. and Canada.
