Penske Manages Inbound Parts Flow for BMW's South Carolina Plant

Under a multi-year contract with BMW Manufacturing Co. and BMW of North America, Penske Logistics is to manage parts from Mexico and select U.S. suppliers into the automaker's Spartanburg County, S.C., facility that produces such models as the X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, Z4 Roadster, M Roadster, Z4 Coupe and M Coupe. Penske will also provide aftermarket parts transportation services from Mexico and select U.S. suppliers into a Spartanburg County crossdock and two California-based distribution centers.
