According to the vendor, the tool was designed to address traditional browser shortcomings such as poor performance, connection interruptions, lack of scanner support and narrow operating system platform support. Key features include uniform content rendering across devices, session persistence when a mobile device loses its connection, out-of-range and roaming support, restricted Web access, integration of data-collection support into applications, load balancing, voice integration via Wavelink Speakeasy, and plug-and-play functionality. Wavelink's customers include companies in retail, manufacturing, healthcare, government, public safety and logistics.
