Oracle Offers In-Memory Apps for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

The new tools help users to summarize and simulate data on a real-time basis. Existing customers of JD Edwards can deploy DRAM, flash memories and the InfiniBand network fabric of Oracle Engineered Systems. According to the vendor, such EnterpriseOne processes as order-to-cash, financial close, project-status inquiry and material-requirements planning run approximately six times faster on Engineered Systems than applications on commodity hardware. The technology transforms batch processing to real time, and shortens response time with improved user-interface rendering. In-Memory Project Portfolio Management within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides executives and project managers with visibility into project-portfolio cost and profitability, Oracle said. In-Memory Sales Advisor enables proactive decision-making in support of customer service organizations.
