APL, ANL, Hanjin Team Up on Weekly Intra-Asia Service

Scheduled to launch Sept. 1, 2013, the New Zealand-Asia Express (NAX) will operate through a vessel-sharing agreement. Each of the three partners will contribute two containerships for a combined capacity of up to 2,200 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) per weekly sailing. The port rotation will be Singapore, Port Klang, Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Tauranga, Brisbane and back to Singapore. The first southbound sailing from Singapore is scheduled for Sept. 2, with the first northbound sailing from Auckland set for Sept. 24.
