JDA Issues New Release of Supply-Chain Planning Suite

August 19, 2013

Comprising more than 20 applications, the tool is part of JDA eight, the vendor's release that combines planning, optimization and business analytics on a single platform for deployment in the cloud. Features available with the suite include in-line analytics, process-driven workflows, packaged event-response levers, consolidated demand signals and in-memory techniques. Embedded analytics allow planners to respond to changes and resolve disruptions immediately, JDA claimed. Role- and task-based workflows allow for the performance of all tasks related to a given business process. The release introduces Agile Workbench with JDA Supply Chain Planner, offering incremental planning workflows which guide master production planners through appropriate resolution actions in response to supply-chain disruptions. JDA Demand 360, a new module of JDA Demand and part of the supply-chain planning suite, provides data aggregation and disaggregation through in-memory processing.
