SAP Issues New Tool for Deploying Predictive Analytics

SAP InfiniteInsight is based on automated technology from KXEN, an SAP company. A new explorer feature allows "power users" to define a broad set of reusable business components, called analytical records, that are designed to be applied repeatedly. In the process, they automatically create the analytical data sets that are used for predictive modeling. The tool also automates the building of predictive models for each data-mining function. A scorer feature deploys optimized scoring equations directly within the database to SAP HANA and other major platforms. Because predictive scores often feed into complex business rules and decision engines, open interfaces support integration to applications such as call centers or websites, SAP said.
