Motorola Solutions Unveils Pocket-Sized Touch Computer
March 3, 2014
The device merges the features of a traditional mobile computer with the form factor and functionality of a smartphone, the vendor said. It runs the Jelly Bean version of the Android operating system. The TC55 was designed for the field service, merchandising and direct store delivery markets. It features a 4.3-inch, high-resolution touch screen, which dynamically adjusts to the work environment. It comes pre-installed with Extensions (Mx) by Motorola Solutions, providing additional performance features on top of the standard Android OS. The TC55 supports the option to run applications built with Motorola's RhoMobile Suite 4.0, which provides development tools built from the ground up for mobility applications.
