Echo Global Wraps Up Purchase of Command Transportation

Command is now operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Echo, which acquired all of its outstanding shares for approximately $420m. Doug Waggoner, chief executive officer of Echo, said the deal provides the company with expanded truckload expertise and a broader carrier network. Echo is a provider of transportation and supply-chain management services, including freight brokerage and managed transportation across all major modes. Its Web-based technology platform compiles and analyzes data from a network of more than 30,000 transportation providers.
