JDA Integrates Supply-Chain Apps With IBM Commerce

The latest JDA release allows for "click-and-collect" ordering, with shoppers able to select their preferred pickup or delivery times and locations. JDA and IBM have integrated the order-management, warehouse-management and transportation-management systems required to fulfill each order. In addition, an intelligent returns authorization process allows the order-management system to alert the warehouse-management system of expected returns, so that companies can include returned items as part of available inventory. The system also gives users insight into each customer's omnichannel order details, enabling accurate forecasting and replenishment of stores and improved upstream inventory positioning, JDA said.
