SATO Global Solutions Launches IoT Tool for Retail

According to SATO, the tool helps retailers to realize near-100-percent inventory accuracy while boosting workforce efficiency. SATO is using the new Intel Retail Sensor Platform, a store-based gateway that gathers and filters data, to provide retailers with inventory-tracking capabilities and insights into the consumer experience. The platform integrates a range of retail technologies, including radio frequency identification (RFID) readers which track individual items in the store. It provides a comprehensive application that standardizes collection, storage and analytics for store-based events, including inventory and customer interactions.
