Zurich Unveils Mobile App for Rapid Response to HazMat Spills
Developed originally for Zurich's environmental underwriting and claims professionals in collaboration with Spill Center, Inc., the tool can assist qualified customers in dealing with any spill that requires emergency environmental cleanup. It gives users the ability to report spills from a mobile device immediately at the scene of an accident. In addition, the app gives customers round-the-clock access to a call center for environmental spill consultation; generates spill reports to help meet regulatory requirements and reduce liability exposure; provides customized, internal alerts for crisis-management communications, and gives access to a team of emergency-response coordinators with an average of 30 years of experience in handling such incidents. In addition, the app includes the ability to geolocate the spill via a mobile device, along with a photo feature and report history.
