CMA CGM Expands in West Africa; Upgrades Ethiopian Services
The carrier's new MIDAS service calls at seven West African ports from India and the Middle East. It is also extending coverage in India and Nigeria with new calls in Nhava Sheva and Apapa. In addition, CMA CGM is offering a new weekly call between Northern Europe, Portugal and the West African coast in an upgrade of its EURAF 5 service. It has added calls in Antwerp and Abidjan in service between Northern Europe and Ivory Coast. In another company announcement, CMA CGM has upgraded its Ethiopian services with a link between Djibouti and six inland destinations: Addis Ababa, Mekele, Nefas Meewcha, Gibe, Shashemene and Jinga. The carrier has added two calls in Djibouti on its MEX1 and REX2 services, directly linking the country to Asian, European and Middle Eastern markets.
