Designed for use in challenging environments, the Android-powered device is aimed at mobile workers in field service, direct store delivery retail, hospitality, venue access, automotive inspections, and transportation and logistics. It runs the Android 5 Lollipop operating system and is certified by Google to support all Google APIs, including Google Play. The XT2 weighs 10 ounces and features a five-inch touch screen strengthened with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It offers dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE connectivity. The device can withstand five-foot drops to concrete and a wide temperature range, with protection against dust and the ability to withstand immersion in three feet of water, Janam said.
