Transportation & Warehouse Optimization Issues New AutoScheduler
June 2, 2016
The tool provides prescriptive analytics for warehouse and campus operation. It allows for capacity-constrained, finite scheduling, accounting for multiple factors in order to plan minute-by-minute activities in support of on-time shipping. AutoScheduler synthesizes data from systems such as enterprise resource planning, production scheduling, yard management (YMS) and warehouse management (WMS). It then instructs the WMS to execute decisions that provide optimal order ship-from; inter-faculty order creation; coordinated receiving, picking and loading schedules, and labor utilization. AutoScheduler was originally developed and is used globally for Procter & Gamble. TWO has offices in the U.S., New Zealand, Argentina, India and Europe.
