Freightos Acquires Air-Cargo Rate Manager WebCargoNet

According to Freightos, the deal creates the world's largest database of air, ocean and land freight rates with hundreds of millions of international and domestic rates and routes for use by small to medium-sized businesses and freight forwarders. WebCargoNet will retain its independent brand, complementing Freightos' AcceleRate freight rate-management offering and the Freightos Marketplace. There will be no immediate changes to the current offerings of either company, Freightos said. The acquisition involved both cash and Freightos shares. Freightos provides AcceleRate via the software-as-a-service model, to automate pricing and routing for carriers, freight forwarders and shippers.
