ALK Technologies Releases CoPilot Truck 11 for Routing, Mileage and Mapping

ALK Technologies, Inc. has issued CoPilot Truck 11, the latest version of the company's GPS navigation and trip-planning aid for commercial motor carriers. Running on Windows-based laptop computers, CoPilot Truck 11 has been completely redesigned with step-by-step address entry, 2D and 3D map views. Designed for company drivers, owner-operators and leased operators, it offers industry-standard PC-MILER directions from within the vehicle. Truck-specific, spoken dock-to-dock directions are provided for locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. PC-MILER routing options include Practical, Shortest, HazMat, National Network and Toll Avoidance, in addition to options for 53-foot-long, 102-inch-high trailers. In addition to truck stops, weigh stations and rest areas, the tool includes 6 million infoUSA Points-of-Interest with phone numbers. ALK's street-level and highway network database covers more than 7 million miles of roadway nationwide, with more than 460,000 miles of truck-restricted roads. In also includes 140 million nationwide U.S. street addresses, and another 30 million in Canada.
