NFI Provides Transport of Polartec Fabric for Haitian Relief Effort
January 21, 2010
Polartec is sending a truckload of its specialty fabric to Miami as part of the relief effort for victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. NFI, Polartec's logistics services provider, is sending a 53-foot dry van from Devens, Mass., to Goodwill Industries in the Florida city.
"We are honored to join forces with Polartec in providing much-needed assistance to Haitian earthquake victims," said Sid Brown, president of Cherry Hill, N.J.-based NFI. "When they told us of their desire to contribute their high-performance Polartec fabric, we didn't hesitate to provide a truck and driver to make it happen."
Goodwill will produce blankets out of the lightweight series of the brand fabric and send them to Haiti.
