Mentor Makes XMobile Manager App Compatible With Windows 7

The latest version of XMobile Manager (XMM) from Mentor Engineering has been made compatible with Windows 7, the vendor announced. The enhanced tool remotely programs, updates and manages software running on Mentor's in-vehicle computer, Mentor Ranger. It also tracks the current software version of each vehicle. As a result, users don't have to physically update each vehicle's device individually. Version 3.0 of XMM features an improved user interface, with elements such as the Windows 7 ribbon for a cleaner look. Other enhancements include an improved reporting structure, whereby clients can access a wider range of analytic information, including the total data usage of XMM for specific mobile units. Also featured in the new version is the ability for multiple users to run multiple instances of XMobile Manager from a single server. The capability allows for faster upgrades and data transfers, while providing better support for multiple XMM clients and large fleets.
