Echo Global Logistics Inc. has acquired the assets of Advantage Transport, Inc., a truckload transportation brokerage based in Phoenix, Ariz. Headquartered in Chicago, Echo is a provider of transportation and supply-chain management services, delivered on a proprietary technology platform. The company analyzes data from a network of more than 24,000 transportation providers, serving such industries as manufacturing, construction, consumer products and retail. Echo said it has retained the entire Advantage Transport workforce. Advantage owners Joe Larson and Matt Steckner have more than 30 years of industry experience. Their company has specialized in truckload shipping and carrier relations, serving both small and large shippers. Effective immediately, Advantage Transport is doing business under the name of Echo Global Logistics, Inc.
