French third-party logistics company SeD Logistiques is using an ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) Gen 2 RFID system at its Paris distribution center to improve the services it provides to its brand-name apparel manufacturers, by moving products faster and with less risk of inaccuracies than its competitors. SeD moves a total of 5 million to 10 million garments through its facility annually for approximately five customers; this involves receiving and storing products, and then packing and shipping specific orders for retail stores.
