DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Division has created a new service for carbon emissions tracking. The GOGREEN Carbon Dashboard allows customers to choose from a variety of reports to gain a better understanding of the drivers of carbon emissions from various modes of transportation, including pickup and delivery services. The tool helps to account for and manage carbon emissions, including those from third parties, providing detailed CO2 mapping from a Web-based hub. The Carbon Dashboard enables a standard calculation approach, treating CO2 as an integrated business parameter and placing it in relation to others such as volumes shipped, product density and trade-lane efficiency. Users can conduct "dry runs" of various carbon reduction scenarios, employing real data, to explore the effectiveness of different optimization approaches.
