ClearOrbit has released version 4.1 of Enterprise Returns Management (ERM), the company's Web-based software for manufacturers of medical devices, high-tech and industrial products. ClearOrbit ERM 4.1 features improved configurability and a new Returns Dashboard for real-time visibility, the vendor said. The application manages the entire returns lifecycle, from the creation of return merchandise authorization to the final disposition of product. A new Route Module ensures that items are routed directly to their proper destination, such as a local repair depot, original manufacturer or parts warehouse. The Smart Receiving feature automates the scanning of return items, while supporting barcode and radio-frequency identification label generation and integration to trading partners' systems. DynaFields captures information based on fully configurable rules that direct the disposition of return units. The Return Dashboard provides real-time visibility into the entire returns-management process, with ad hoc reporting and key performance indicator tracking.
