MSC.Software Corp. has developed a new version of its SimEnterprise software for creating simulations in support of product innovation and delivery. SimEnterprise R2 includes the SimXpert, SimDesigner and SimManager applications, allowing companies to manage expert knowledge across engineering disciplines, user communities and company boundaries. The intent, said MSC.Software, is to accelerate product development through enhanced productivity. With SimXpert R2, simulation professionals can create reusable templates that represent best practices, and share them with other analysts, engineers and designers. SimDesigner R2 gives designers the ability to evaluate product performance in the native computer-aided design (CAD) environment. SimManager R2 promotes secure collaboration among expert analysts, designers, suppliers and others with its process and data-management capabilities. In addition, it provides an audit train and searchable database containing models, results, reports and other key data.
