Purolator International will open a total of 10 new branch offices in 2011, doubling its presence in the U.S. The expansion is in response to a surge in demand for expertise in transporting goods between the U.S. and Canada, the company said. At the beginning of 2011, Purolator was operating 10 branch offices across the U.S., eight of which were located in the top 14 markets for trade with Canada. The 10 new offices will expand Purolator's presence to 18 of the top 20 markets. Offices already up and running in 2011 include Atlanta, Ga., Boston, Mass., Cincinnati, OH, Cleveland, OH, Minneapolis, Minn. and Salt Lake City, UT. Purolator plans additional openings by the end of the year in Houston, TX, Miami, Fla. and Milwaukee, Wisc. The company specializes in the air and surface forwarding of express, freight and parcel shipments; customs brokerage, and fulfillment and delivery services to, from and within Canada.
