The Supply Chain Consortium has developed the Strategic Assessment Dashboard, a tool that allows members of the group to benchmark operations against their entire industry, specific industry segments, or supply chains in other industries. Featuring an updated user interface, the dashboard provides such information as how one's operations are performing in comparison with other groups of companies; an organization's strengths and weaknesses as compared with industry-segment peers, and where opportunities exist to close any gaps; best-in-class metrics and processes used by top-quartile companies; and multi-year trends for supply-chain best practices in one's particular industry, or across all industries. The Supply Chain Consortium was expanded this year to cover four major industries: retail, consumer products manufacturing, industrial and commercial manufacturing, and distribution and wholesaling.
