DHL has introduced overnight express service from New York City to major European destinations. The service is geared toward customers in financial services, banking, insurance, advertising, publishing and other industries with a critical need for fast document delivery. They can now receive next-day delivery to nine major business centers across Europe at no additional cost, DHL said. Offered to customers with shipments originating from lower Manhattan, the next-day delivery option begins with pickup by courier for transfer to the DHL helicopter pad in New York City. Shipments are then flown by helicopter directly to JFK International Airport. From there, they move on flights bound for nine European cities: Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Paris and Zurich. Next-day delivery by noon is available to some of the main financial centers in Europe, DHL said.
