Ocean World Lines, a non-vessel operating common carrier, has opened a new office in Houston, TX to service all cargoes moving into and out of the region. In addition to containerized and breakbulk freight, OWL Houston will handle project and out-of-gauge cargoes too large for standard containers. The NVO also offers logistics services tailored to the needs of the petrochemical industry. The Houston office is offering a full range of services, including ocean and air freight, cargo consolidation, packing and crating, trucking, warehousing, deconsolidation and distribution. Heading up the office is Abel Edgington, a 16-year veteran of logistics operations and management in the Texas area. A subsidiary of Pacer International, Inc., OWL maintains more than 60 service contracts with ocean carriers.
