It's a continuation of a 20-year GSA agreement with Continental Airlines to handle cargo marketing and handling in Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua. The agreement with Continental expired and United decided to continue the sales and ground handling provided by the subsidiary of Rex America. Alvaro Alpizar, CEO of Rex America and Rex Cargo, said: "With this decision, United has evaluated our role as service provider for Continental in the past two decades. United is a major cargo airline, especially to and from Asia and Europe. For this reason we are able to offer our customers strategic cargo service to these important markets."
