GAC, a global provider of shipping, logistics and marine transportation services, has opened a new office in Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo. The local entity, GAC Shipping and Logistics Congo Sarl, will provide ship agency, husbandry and freight-forwarding services for customers operating in the Congo, as well as additional support for GAC's customers in Angola. GAC said the new office was opened in response to a growing number of port calls in the waters of the Republic of the Congo, and represents a major expansion of the GAC Group's operations across West Africa. Headquartered in Dubai, GAC has more than 9,000 employees and some 300 offices worldwide.
