The New World Alliance (TNWA), a space-sharing agreement among container carriers APL Co. Pte Ltd., Hyundai Merchant Marine and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, is launching a new trans-Atlantic service linking Europe and the United Kingdom with the U.S. East Coast and Panama. Dubbed the Americas Europe Express (AEE), the new service is TNWA's third dedicated trans-Atlantic route. Beginning with the westbound sailing of the APL Shanghai from Rotterdam on Feb. 29, and eastbound sailing of the APL Indonesia from Manzanillo on March 5, it will offer weekly sailings from major U.S. and European ports. The service rotation covers the ports of Manzanillo, Charleston, New York, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, New York, Charleston and back to Manzanillo. TNWA member lines serve all locations in the major East-West container trades.
