Crowley already provides regularly scheduled, full-containerload (FCL) services from the U.S., as well as logistics services from Puerto Rico to St. Maarten. The new offering will enhance supply-chain options for customers shipping directly into St. Maarten from the U.S., as well as those using the island as a transshipment point. With on-island representation by South Atlantic Shipping (Intramar), Crowley's logistics group will provide shippers with a single point of contact for LCL transportation to and from the island. The full menu of service includes FCL and LCL, ocean and air consolidation and shipping, warehousing, domestic pickup and delivery of cargo within the U.S., marine cargo insurance, freight forwarding and documentation. In addition to the new direct LCL service from Miami, St. Maarten will serve as a connecting point to the smaller Caribbean Basin markets of Montserrat, Anguilla, Saba, St. Barts and St. Eustatius, as well as internationally to Asia.
