Saudi Airlines Cargo already operates scheduled B747 freighters from Saudi Arabia to Nairobi, Lagos, Addis Ababa, N'Djamena, Khartoum and Johannesburg. Commencement of the operation coincides with the opening of a Perishable Cargo Centre, and anticipates the construction of a new cargo terminal and hub operation, providing cargo-feeder services in support of 11 new West and Central African destinations. In another recent company announcement, Saudi Airlines Cargo has launched freighter services from Frankfurt, Germany and Vienna, Austria. The airline is operating four direct freighter flights per week from Frankfurt and two per week from Vienna. Both services connect directly with Hong Kong and the Far East. Saudi Airlines Cargo is using B747 freighters in Frankfurt, and MD-11s in Vienna.
