As of March 31, 2012, daily service will be operated with Airbus A340-300 equipment. According to Swiss WorldCargo, Newark's Liberty International Airport is a key gateway for cargo in the greater New York area, and is well-situated to serve the entire U.S. East Coast with the carrier's existing Road Feeder Service network. From Newark, destinations such as Philadelphia and Washington can be reached more easily, Swiss WorldCargo said. It expects pharmaceutical goods to be a major commodity between Zurich and Newark, the latter of which plays host to 15 of the world's leading pharma companies. Swiss WorldCargo already offers multiple daily services between Zurich and New York's JFK International Airport, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Montreal.
