Solution: KANE took over distribution of the company's products in the Northeast at our Scranton, PA distribution center. Our large concentration of CPG customers allows us to combine retailer orders for multiple manufacturers and deliver them on a single truckload, while hitting all RAD dates. The customer pays only for the portion, by weight, of the truckload shipment that its products represent.
Results: The customer reports a 62% reduction in CWT for consolidated orders - savings that drop straight to the bottom line. Retailers also benefit by receiving the same volume of products in fewer, multi-vendor shipments.
