Last week the organiser, TEG Group announced the datof the 2nd annual TRANSLOG Connect Congress, which unquestionably became a must-attend event for all industry professionals after last year oustanding success. The preparations have started and the dates are settled: on the 28th - 29th of November 2012 the luxurious Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal Budapest will transform into the number one meeting place for more than 600 international business decision-makers coming to Budapest exclusively with the purpose of attending TRANSLOG.
The uniqueness of the event lays in its versatile nature. Delegates can visit various presentations on today's most challenging problems that industry professionals may encounter. The highest relevance of the conference programme is assured by the Programme Advisory Committee including members as Rogier van Zon, Global Distribution Director Business Unit TV, Philips; Dr. Johann Seif, VP International Planning and Logistics, Henkel; László Lovassy, Logistics Manager Europe, Chevrolet; Péter Boncsér, Supply Chain Director, Auchan and Dr. Péter Lakatos, Head of Logistics Centre, Teva as well as Member of the Presidency at the Hungarian Logistics Association (HLA). The objective of the committee is to provide the most up-to-date market insights into Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Production, IT, Transportation and Warehouse Management-related topics.
Besides the presentations participants have the opportunity to take part in pre-arranged one-to-one meetings so that they can share knowledge, discuss key priorities and have the possibility for signing new business. Several weeks in advance of the congress the TEG Meeting Scheduler is made available to every solution provider and delegate attending. Thanks to the innovativeness and user-friendliness of the site, participants have the opportunity to create their own itinerary prior to the congress taking place and thus ensuring that they form their agenda to their needs.
As every year, participants will be provided with the opportunity of taking part in a visit to one of the major logistics and distribution centres in the region. This year's destination will be the Coca-Cola plant in Dunaharaszti.
TRANSLOG Connect, being the leading regional logistics, transportation and supply chain management event for Central and Eastern Europe, is supported by the regional members of the European Logistics Association (ELA), like the Polish (PTL), the Austrian (BVL), the Hungarian (HLA), the Romanian (ARILOG) and the Ukrainian Logistics Association (ULA) - as well as GS1 on a CEE country level basis. The European-wide media coverage and the world-wide promotion of the congress is also ensuring that the biggest automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage and FMCG manufacturers plus the major food and non-food retailers will reassert their presence in the upcoming months.
Taking all the above facts into consideration, TEG is proud that Dusan Drabek and Robert Pasaniuc, Business Development Managers at DB Schenker - delivered the following feedback after last year's success: "TRANSLOG Connect is the only big top level logistics event in the area of Middle-South-East Europe. Very professional, well done. Keep it like this!"
