Solution: To identify opportunities Miebach examined the client's inbound & outbound transportation, supplier sourcing & warehousing, distribution network (warehouses and distribution centers), and planning processes.
Results: Following the identification of savings opportunities meeting the client's goal, Miebach was responsible for developing a detailed plan to optimize the client's inbound network and leading collaborative implementation teams that achieved actual savings of $25MM per year. The client was able to capture savings by increasing revenue generated by their dedicated fleet, inbound lane takeover, increasing supplier direct shipments, reducing product warehouses, and various other initiatives.
