CPG Company Applies 'Lean Principles' - Trims Processes, Gains $85K

Solution: During the last two years we provided support with a total delivered cost model, lean training, scorecard process improvement, and best practice sharing on a variety of lean topics. Historically, the factories produced in shift increments based on a monthly forecast and only prioritized critical items within the month. The pilot enabled the client to run smaller batch sizes more frequently, based on a weekly forecast for three items and expand to twelve items.
Results: The client captured more than $85,000 in phase one by reducing cross shipments and cycle inventory. The client still has work ahead, but is optimistic with LeanCor's continued support and leadership.
