Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS), an arm of Agility Logistics, says the U.S. State Department has retained it to provide logistics services in the pending move into the new U.S. Embassy complex in Baghdad. The one-year contract is reportedly valued at $23.5m.
Agility DGS says the project is the single-largest foreign mission transfer ever, and involves the relocation of more than 3,500 workers to the new 104-acre campus.
"Supporting the U.S. Embassy move in Baghdad gives Agility the opportunity to apply our specialized logistics, transportation, and freight forwarding capabilities to this important assignment," says Toby Switzer, chief executive officer of Agility DGS.
