The company has brought all inbound consolidation containers into its own container freight station in Elk Grove, Ill. Onward distribution within the Midwest is being managed through CEVA's road freight organization, CEVA Ground. The combination of CEVA's road freight network and CFS results in daily overnight inland points intermodal (IPI) services to 10 U.S. Midwest network locations, more than double the prior service frequency.
Currently, inbound containers are arriving in Illinois from various locations in the Asia-Pacific region. CEVA plans to add more European and Asian origins by the end of this year.
