The Tompkins Supply Chain Consortium has found that most companies have considerable interest in supply chain networks due to significant cost and service factors impacted by network designs.

Over the years, network models have grown in complexity and the analysis can no longer be accurately completed using a spreadsheet. Therefore planning models are now required to evaluate the impact of incentives, taxes and duties, as well as other significant supply chain cost factors.
