Telargo Inc. has formed an alliance with LeasePlan USA to provide truck fleet-utilization services to LeasePlan's client base. Telargo sells mobile asset-management technology, while LeasePlan is a provider of vehicle-leasing and fleet-management services. The deal gives LeasePlan's customers the option of accessing Telargo's services through an all-inclusive subscription fee with no upfront investment. Telargo supports companies' real-time interaction with vehicle fleets, work-process automation and in-depth cost analysis. In drawing on Telargo, LeasePlan customers will be able to improve fleet utilization, reduce fuel consumption and lower operating expenses, the companies claimed. An advanced event-notification engine helps fleet operators to control their fleets.
