The lightweight device was designed to survive heavy use in challenging environments. It features a 10.1-inch-wide touchscreen which supports both handheld and vehicle-mounted use, along with input/output ports for connecting to multiple peripherals. The unit ships with a Windows embedded Standard 7 operating system. It weighs less than three pounds and is less than an inch thick. Sealed to IP65 specifications, the rugged tablet is certified to withstand a six-foot drop. It includes a 1D/2D barcode scanner and standard dual autofocus cameras. The MT1010 is equipped with GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer and compass, and runs on an Intel N2600 dual core 1.6GHz processor. According to DAP, it is ideal for mapping applications, telemetry and location-based service functions.
