Total Logistic Control (TLC) has launched TM-ONE, transportation-management system (TMS) software based on an Oracle Corp. platform. The application allows users to customize their dashboard reporting systems. At the same time, they can draw on the capabilities of Supervalu Inc., the provider of retail grocery and supply-chain services. TLC is an independent, third-party logistics subsidiary of Supervalu. Accessible to companies of all sizes, the TM-ONE system is especially suitable for mid-sized shippers, TLC said. It is designed to optimize the financial performance of users "from the moment of their very first shipment," the vendor claimed. Last year, TLC managed freight over more than 500 million miles, covering 48 states and all modes of ground transportation. TLC offers distribution, transportation, contract logistics, packaging, procurement and supply-chain engineering services for the retail and consumer packaged goods supply chains. It has access to 83 distribution centers and more than 3,000 vehicles.
