Transit times under the new offering are 12 days to Tokyo, 13 to Yokohama and 17 to Osaka, Nagoya and Kobe. The service involves no transhipment via Busan, South Korea or additional handling via Los Angeles. First sailing under the new schedule was set for Jan. 29. CaroTrans serves the Japan trade in partnership with a local NVO, Seino Logix. In July of 2012, it introduced direct LCL export service from the Pacific Northwest to Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe and Osaka. CaroTrans provides both LCL and full-containerload services, operating from a network of offices in Asia, South America, Oceania and the U.S.
