The new locations are Columbus, Ohio; Newark, N.J.; and Phoenix, Ariz. They bring to 33 the total number of branch offices maintained by Purolator International. The company opened seven new branches in 2012. The additions come at a time when U.S. companies are looking to Canada as a source of new business, said John Sweeney, vice president for field sales and service quality. Canada is currently the United States' largest goods-trading partner, accounting for 19 percent of U.S. exports in 2011. Purolator International is a subsidiary of Purolator Inc., the Canadian provider of integrated parcel and freight delivery services. The business unit specializes in the air and surface forwarding of express, freight and parcel shipments; customs brokerage, and fulfillment and delivery services to, from and within Canada.
